# Fictional VLOOKUP practice table

The companion XLSX workbook already has this fictional table, P-107 in E2, and an intentionally approximate three-argument VLOOKUP in F2. This plain-text version is a fallback if you need to build the practice sheet yourself. Paste the table into Excel starting at **A1**. All products are invented for this lesson.

| Product Code | Item | Price |
| --- | --- | ---: |
| P-100 | Pen | 2.50 |
| P-102 | Notebook | 5.00 |
| P-104 | Binder | 8.75 |
| P-106 | Clips | 3.25 |
| P-108 | Folder | 4.50 |

First enter `P-107` in E2 and `=VLOOKUP(E2,$A$2:$C$6,3)` in F2 to reproduce the neighboring **3.25** price in this sorted table. Then replace F2 with `=VLOOKUP(E2,$A$2:$C$6,3,FALSE)`. Test `P-104` and `P-107` separately. P-104 exists and should return **8.75**. P-107 is absent and should return **#N/A**. An omitted fourth argument defaults to approximate match and is not appropriate for this exact-code task.
