# Independent answer check — episode 144

The downloaded practice DOCX begins with the phrase Draft schedule and contains no preexisting tracked revisions. In a disposable Word for the web copy, select Reviewing before replacing Draft schedule with Final schedule. A passing new-edit check shows the replacement as a tracked revision in a view that displays markup. Merely seeing Final schedule in the body is insufficient: that could be an ordinary untracked edit.

The newly created tracked replacement can also serve as the known revision for a display test. Where the Word version offers No Markup and a markup-visible view such as All Markup, the same revision should hide and reappear without accepting or rejecting it. If either display choice is unavailable, mark this second check unavailable; do not infer an observed outcome. Turning tracking on today cannot reconstruct an old edit made in Editing mode. The source DOCX has no imported redline and is not a record of a live application result.
