# Independent answer check — IMPORTRANGE practice

Import the [fictional CSV](source-orders.csv) into a **new native Google Sheet**, rename its tab `Orders`, and use a separate new destination Sheet. The source URL in the formula must be the **Google Sheet URL**, not the local CSV path.

In destination A1, enter **`=IMPORTRANGE("SOURCE_URL","Orders!A1:C5")`**, replacing `SOURCE_URL` with the actual source Sheet URL. If Google shows **You need to connect these sheets**, use **Allow access** only after confirming you may connect these fictional files. A message that you lack permission to open the source is a different issue.

Expected destination block after an authorized successful connection:

| Order ID | Status | Units |
| --- | --- | ---: |
| ORD-201 | New | 12 |
| ORD-202 | Packed | 8 |
| ORD-203 | Hold | 3 |
| ORD-204 | Shipped | 15 |

The three headers plus four data rows occupy **A1:C5**. Independently add the source units: **12 + 8 + 3 + 15 = 38**. The CSV's values and this arithmetic were inspected locally. A first-time connection prompt and the four-row result were observed between two private native practice Sheets; their source values were pasted from the CSV data. The CSV import dialog and an inaccessible-source case were not tested.
