# Three fictional missing-mail reports

This is a **paper exercise**, not three messages in your account. Do not expect these subjects to appear in your Gmail unless you create your own harmless test messages. Never share real mail, login codes, or private inbox screenshots for this exercise.

| Case | Fictional subject | Clue | Intended location |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| A | Workshop packet A21 | A colleague intentionally archived it yesterday. | Inspect **All Mail** / archived search. |
| B | Workshop packet B22 | Gmail warned about the message. Its sender must be checked before any action. | Inspect **Spam** safely. |
| C | Workshop packet C23 | It was accidentally removed last week. | Inspect **Trash** promptly. |

Practice the search-plan decision without touching a live account: for each case, choose a distinctive subject search with Spam and Trash included, identify the folder/location, and state a safe next step. Compare with the separate [answer check](missing-mail-answer-check.md). For your real missing mail, use only what you know about its sender or subject; never move untrusted messages just to satisfy this fictional answer.
