# Answer check: fictional form response limit

This is a **local reasoning exercise**, not an export or a live result from Google Forms. The signed-in fictional draft form has not been published and these names were not entered into it.

| Scenario step | Existing stored responses | Proposed total limit | Expected decision |
| --- | ---: | ---: | --- |
| Start with REG-501 to REG-503 | 3 | 5 | A new limit of 5 is greater than the existing count of 3. |
| REG-504 arrives | 4 | 5 | One more nonconcurrent response can reach the target. |
| REG-505 arrives | 5 | 5 | The form is expected to close to further new submissions. Check the actual count and closed message. |
| Owner approves one more place | 5 | 6 | A new total limit must be greater than 5; edit or remove the prior expiration, set 6, and confirm Accepting responses is on. |

Independent count from `registration-scenario.csv`: **3** rows marked `Existing response`, **2** marked `Planned later response`, **5** total fictional registrations. `REG-501` through `REG-505` are unique. The workshop-time counts are **3** for Tue 10 AM ET and **2** for Thu 2 PM ET. The closed and reopened counts shown in diagrams are **expected states**, not observations.

Google explicitly warns that simultaneous submissions can be accepted past a response limit. Do not promise exactly five seats from this control alone. Review the actual response list and handle any excess according to your registration policy. Closing or reopening the response control does not call for deleting any stored answers; always verify them again under **Responses** and, if appropriate, download a CSV backup before making consequential registration decisions.
