# Independent answer check — Word cover page number

This check is for the fictional three-page practice note in `cover-page-practice.md`. It is an expected result from Microsoft's documented controls; it was not observed in a live Word for the web session during source drafting.

| Page | Heading | Expected visible footer number |
| ---: | --- | --- |
| 1 | Workshop Registration Note | None |
| 2 | Registration summary | 2 |
| 3 | Coordinator checklist | 3 |

**Independent logic:** `Different First Page` changes the first page's header/footer appearance. It does not remove page one from the document's count. Therefore the second and third pages remain 2 and 3. If page two shows 1, a separate numbering restart has been applied; that is beyond this Word for the web exercise. If every page is blank, page numbers were removed from the entire document rather than hidden only on the first page.

Before release, open the actual practice note in English Word for the web and visually confirm all three pages. Record the genuine UI capture and provenance, or keep the video explicitly diagram-based.
