# Fictional Gmail scheduled-message practice

Use this exercise only in a mailbox you control. **Address the message to your own email address.** Do not use a customer, coworker, or the example name below as a recipient. The message remains a pending send until you cancel it.

| Field | Fictional practice content |
| --- | --- |
| To | Your own email address |
| Subject | Practice: workshop seats update |
| Body | Hello, this is a fictional practice reminder. The workshop has five fictional seats. No response is needed. |
| First scheduled time | At least seven days from now, in the time zone shown by Gmail |

## Exercise

1. Compose the message and use **Schedule send** for a time at least seven days away.
2. Open **Scheduled** and confirm the subject and displayed send time.
3. Open the message and select **Cancel send**. Confirm it becomes an editable draft.
4. In that draft, change `five fictional seats` to `six fictional seats`.
5. For the optional rescheduling demonstration, choose a new far-future time, confirm the message is again in **Scheduled**, then immediately select **Cancel send** again.
6. End with the message as a draft or discard the practice draft. Do not leave a practice email scheduled.

The example name and counts are fictional. The safe finish state is **Drafts**, not **Scheduled** or **Sent**.
