# Independent answer check — Outlook web reply signature

Microsoft's current web guidance documents a saved signature and separate default choices for new mail and replies/forwards. The table below describes the expected exercise outcome, not a live result observed during source drafting.

| Check | Expected answer | Evidence strength |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Signature named `Jordan Lee — Practice` exists | Its three fictional text lines are saved | Configuration |
| New-message default | `Jordan Lee — Practice` selected | Configuration |
| Replies/forwards default | `Jordan Lee — Practice` selected | Configuration |
| New unaddressed draft | Signature is visible in the compose body | UI behavior, only if observed |
| Reply to fictional test mail | Signature is visible without sending | UI behavior, only if observed |

**Diagnosis:** If new-message drafts include the signature but replies do not, first inspect the separate replies/forwards default. A signature saved in the account is not necessarily assigned as the default for every compose type. If no fictional incoming message is available, do not claim the reply was tested; the setting alone is not proof of insertion.

Before release, inspect the actual English Outlook web variant and the two draft states. Record genuine captures with provenance or use labelled illustrative diagrams. No settings were changed while drafting these files.
