This exercise moves one occurrence of a weekly fictional check-in. Download the scenario CSV and answer check. It is a planning example, not a Calendar export.

The starting pattern

The fictional private series meets on Tuesdays at 10:00 AM Eastern Time: November 10, 17 and 24, 2026. Only November 17 should move to 11:00 AM ET. No guests appear in this practice data.

1. Select the correct occurrence

Open your own repeating event in Google Calendar and click the specific date that needs changing. For the scenario, that is November 17. Choose Edit, then change the start time to 11:00 AM ET. Review the date and any end time before saving.

2. Limit the change to one event

Choose Save. Google's recurring-event instructions say Calendar asks which events in the series receive the change. Select the option meaning This event only, then confirm. Do not select All events or This and following events for this exercise. The exact wording may vary, so read the scope before clicking.

3. Verify the whole three-row pattern

Inspect November 10, 17 and 24 after the edit. Their expected start times are 10:00, 11:00, 10:00 AM ET. The dates remain Tuesdays. If another occurrence moved, the wrong scope was applied; repair the series and repeat the single-event edit.

Guests and time zones

The fictional example has no guests and requires no invitations. With a real meeting, inspect attendees and any notification prompt before saving. Confirm the time zone shown in Calendar. Eastern Time is a local zone with daylight-saving changes, so do not replace it with a fixed UTC offset.

Google's Calendar help and Google training example were checked 13 October 2026. Companion panels are illustrative diagrams. This package has not observed a live Calendar result.
