Quick answer. Chrome bookmarks not syncing? Check the Chrome profile, account-saving choice, paused sign-in and a harmless bookmark on the second device. This guide uses fictional data. The outcome must be checked in your own app; a settings screen alone does not prove it.

Use the original practice resource and independent answer check. Work only in an account you are permitted to use.

What success looks like. The same fictional bookmark is found in Chrome signed into the same Google Account on device B. A one-device settings check is not proof of cross-device sync.

1. Check the starting state

Confirm both Chrome windows use the same signed-in Google Account and profile.

Checkpoint: Same Google Account is selected.

2. Inspect the relevant setting

In Settings > You and Google, select the account name and check what is saved to the account, including bookmarks.

Checkpoint: Bookmarks are included in saved account data.

3. Apply the focused correction

If Chrome shows Verify it's you or paused sync, complete the sign-in prompt.

Checkpoint: No unresolved sign-in prompt remains.

4. Run the controlled check

Save the fictional test bookmark on device A; open Bookmarks and lists > Show all bookmarks on device B.

Checkpoint: Check the exact name and folder on device B.

5. Record the result

Record whether the exact bookmark appears in the same folder on device B.

Checkpoint: Do not claim a sync fix without the device B result.

If it still does not work

If only one device is available, stop at a settings check. Do not claim that synchronization was fixed. Avoid reset, passphrase removal or bookmark deletion.

Verify the result

Find Example Project Page inside SOW Practice in Chrome signed into the same Google Account on both devices. Record the exact folder and name in the answer-check download. If it is missing on device B, check that device’s account, sign-in state and bookmark-saving choice before changing existing bookmarks.
