Quick answer. While on the affected site, use Chrome's Zoom control or Ctrl+0 to return to 100%. If the site keeps a stored custom zoom, check Settings > Privacy and security > Site settings > Additional content settings > Zoom levels and remove only that site's entry.

Open example.com in a separate Chrome tab for the exercise. The optional practice checklist and answer check help you confirm that only this site's zoom changes.

Before you start. Chrome menu labels and keyboard shortcuts vary by operating system. Some sites manage their own text size or responsive layout independently of browser zoom. A public page is safe for a real UI demonstration, but captures must be from a genuine English Chrome interface.

1. Reproduce on a harmless page

Open example.com in an isolated Chrome practice tab. In Chrome's menu, use Zoom plus until that site displays one hundred fifty percent. The page text and layout should grow while unrelated tabs remain at their own settings. Do not use a private dashboard or a site containing account details for the video.

Checkpoint: Practice page at 150%; no private content.

2. Reset the current site's zoom

On the same page, open Chrome's menu and reduce Zoom to one hundred percent. On Windows and Linux, Control plus zero is a useful reset shortcut; on Mac, Command plus zero. Confirm the percentage shown for the current site. This is the fastest fix when only one website looks too large or small.

Checkpoint: Current site reads 100%.

3. Inspect saved site levels if it returns

Chrome's help documents Settings, Privacy and security, Site settings, Additional content settings, then Zoom levels. Find only the practice site's entry and remove it if you want to clear its remembered custom size. Do not clear all site permissions or cookies for a zoom problem.

Checkpoint: Remove only the intended site's stored zoom entry.

4. Separate three different settings

A site's Zoom percentage, Chrome's global default under Appearance, and operating-system display scaling solve different problems. This exercise changes only the practice site's zoom. If every website and app appears large, investigate the broader display setting separately rather than repeatedly editing one site's entry.

Checkpoint: One-site fix is scoped to one site.

5. Check the page after reset

Reload example.com and confirm the normal page remains legible at one hundred percent. Open a second unrelated tab to make sure its size was not unexpectedly changed. If the page still looks unusual, check whether the site itself has an accessibility text-size control; browser zoom may no longer be the cause.

Checkpoint: Practice page 100%; unrelated site unchanged.

Verify the result

The practice example.com page is at 100% after reset, with normal-sized text in that tab. Only the site's zoom is changed in the exercise; Chrome's global default page zoom and operating-system scaling remain untouched. If a Zoom levels entry was removed, it applies to that site rather than all sites.

If it still does not work

If example.com still looks too large after Ctrl+0 or Command+0, confirm you reset zoom while that exact tab was active and that Chrome's Zoom menu reads 100%. If the site grows again, inspect the example.com entry under Settings > Privacy and security > Site settings > Additional content settings > Zoom levels, and remove only that entry. If Chrome already reads 100%, check the site's own text-size control, Chrome's Appearance default and operating-system display scaling separately; do not clear cookies or all site settings for this symptom.
